Any City of Rockford voter who is registered from their current address and with their current name may come to the
office of the Board of Election Commissioners, 301 S. 6th Street, Rockford, IL, during
the early voting period.
Early voting begins 22 days before an
election and ends 5 days before that same election.
Please check the calendar for dates prior to this election.
Unlike absentee voting, early voting needs no reason for requesting a ballot.
Early voting must
be done in the Election Office (not by mail).
Once an early vote has been cast, the voter may not go to the polls on Election Day to change the vote.
The
early voter must bring a government-issued photo identification
to present when voting. (Driver's license, State ID,
fishing license, FOID card, passport or other government-issued document
containing the applicant's photograph.)
