Early Voting

Any City of Rockford voter who is registered from their current address and with their current name may vote early.
The only difference between early voting and absentee voting is the early voter must show a government issued photo identification.  (IL Driver's license, IL State ID, passport, etc.)‚Ä®Please see "absentee voting" for voting times.

Therefore, during the time period below a government issued photo identification must be shown when voting in person.

Early voting begins 15 days before an election and ends 3 days before that same election at the Election Office, 301 S. 6th Street, Rockford.

General Primary Election - March 18, 2014
Early voting begins March 3, 2014
Early voting ends March 15, 2014

Once any vote has been cast before the election, the voter may NOT go to the polls on Election Day to change their vote.
